Right then, that will be it from this contest. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. Do join tomorrow for Match 34 in the BBL 2024-25 where the Hobart Hurricanes will host the Melbourne Renegades at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. That game will start at 8.30 am GMT. But as you know, you can always join early for all the build-up. Until then, take care, and cheers!

Tom Andrews OF Sydney Thunder IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Tom says that he is delighted to bat the way he did against one of the better bowling units in the competition. Mentions he was just looking to get Green on strike for the first few but it came out well and he decided to take on Jason in the final over. Closes by saying that he is happy to chip in down the order with the quality of batters they have in the top order.

Earlier today, the Thunder batted first and posted a solid score of 158 on the back of a fine fifty from young Sam Konstas while Chris Green and Tom Andrews played crucial cameos down the order. Lance Morris with three wickets was the pick of the Scorchers bowlers along with Agar and Connolly who also did a tidy job. Sydney Thunder will be delighted with this win.

Sydney Thunder's bowling unit delivered a superb performance, backed by proactive captaincy from David Warner. The bowlers shared the spoils, with each one claiming at least a wicket. Chris Green was the standout performer, taking three wickets, while Nathan McAndrew chipped in with two. The Thunder's well-rounded bowling attack ensured that Perth Scorchers were kept under pressure throughout the innings.

Perth's batting unit struggled to gain momentum while chasing Sydney Thunder's total. Wickets fell at regular intervals, with the 30-run partnership between Cooper Connolly and Aaron Hardie being the only notable resistance. The Scorchers' batting lineup failed to fire, with no batsman willing to grind out runs. Poor calling and running between the wickets also cost them dearly, resulting in the loss of two top-order batsmen.

Sydney Thunder secures a convincing 61-run victory over Perth Scorchers, courtesy of a dominant all-round display. Sydney Thunder also climb right at the top of the table with this dominating victory while Perth Scorchers loses the plot and hit rock bottom.
